This lucid account contributes to Caroline Knapp’s strong legacy. Below is a review of her fourth book: Appetites: Why Women Want (New York,Counterpoint/Perseus Books Group, 2003). Knapp’s many fine qualities, we will always remember her courage, her compassion, her strong intellect and talent for writing. She died of lung cancer in 2002 at the age of 42.
